Membership Fees

The HATT board has set an initial annual membership fee of TT$200 (two hundred) per family.

You can apply for membership by filling out the form below.

You can make arrangements to pay the fee by contacting HATT at 1-868-713-3689 or emailing homeschool.tt@gmail.com.

Membership Details

There are two classes of members in the Association, namely, Class A members and Class B members. The board of directors of the Association may, by resolution, approve the admission of the members of the Association. Members may also be admitted in such other manner as may be prescribed by the board by resolution. The following conditions of membership shall apply:

Class A Members

Class A voting membership shall be available only to individuals who have applied and have been accepted for Class A voting membership in the Association.

The term of membership of a Class A voting member shall be annual, subject to renewal in accordance with the policies of the Association.

As set out in our articles, each Class A voting member is entitled to receive notice of, attend and vote at all meetings of members and each such Class A voting member shall be entitled to one (1) vote at such meetings.

You must be a present or past homeschooler for a minimum of three cumulative years to qualify for class A membership.

Class B Members

Class B non-voting membership shall be available only to individuals who have applied and have been accepted for Class B non-voting membership in the Association.

The term of membership of a Class B non-voting member shall be annual, subject to renewal in accordance with the policies of the Association.

A Class B non-voting member shall not be entitled to receive notice of, attend or vote at meetings of the members of the Association.

You must be interested in homeschooling to qualify for class B membership. 

Membership Transferability

A membership may not be transferred to the Association. A special resolution of the members is required to make any amendment to add, change or delete this section of the by-laws.

Notice of Members Meeting

Notice of the time and place of a meeting of members shall be given to each member entitled to vote at the meeting by telephonic, electronic or other communication facility to each member entitled to vote at the meeting, during a period of 21 to 35 days before the day on which the meeting is to be held. If a member requests that the notice be given by non-electronic means, the notice will be sent by mail, courier or personal delivery.
